Treatment of ascites

And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah
will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set
for everything a extent
Zachariah Ibn Mohammad Al-Ghazvini narrated from Omar Ibn Yahya Alavi that:
“We were in a caravan heading toward Mecca and one of the passengers fell ill
with Ascites, so we let him be carried by one of the camels. Along the way, the
caravan was attacked by a group of bandits and some of the camels, which one of
them was carrying the sick, were stolen. We had no choice but to continue our
journey. After the pilgrimage, we went back to Kufa and all of a sudden, we met
the then sick but now healthy person. We asked him the secret behind his
recovery. He mentioned:
"Bandits headed toward their residence and when they found out that I am sick,
they dumped me in a garbage area, where I was praying for my death in every
moment".
He continued, “Suddenly I saw one of their men take out an asp out of a sack,
cut the head and the tail, roast it, then they start eating it. I was thinking
that this might be harmless for them because they are used to it, but for me
eating that meat might be lethal and could help relieve me from the pain I had,
so I decide to ask them for a bit of that meat. After I ate the meat, I fell
into a deep sleep and when I woke up, I started to perspire severely, vomited,
and excreted for several times--thinking that this is going to be the end of my
life. This condition continued until the morning while I was praying and asking
the God for forgiveness. Eventually, I felt my stomach is empty and the pain
vanished. I asked for food and felt that I am getting better. I continued
staying with them till I ascertained that my health condition is stable, and
then I asked them the way to Kufa -- they finally brought me there."
